“Wild worlds” Slot Review
This is one of the most unusual NetEnt Company created a game. Birdheroes vs gigantic monsters will battle in NetEnt’s online slot “Wild Worlds”.
Wild Worlds is a 5×5 slot from Net Entertainment that uses a Cluster Pays engine. Playable from 20p to £400 a spin on all devices, the game is based on a new generation of birdheroes who fight beasts to save worlds. This Video Slot has an Avalanche feature where you can get continuous wins as well as extra wilds. You can benefit from destroyed signs and free spins where you are taken to 3 different worlds – each of them offers different wilds like spreading, heavy or random.
Wild Worlds is made like a cartoon – with a futuristic design, you’ll see birdheroesheroes Pink, Blue and Green Birds inside their head-office. This is 5 by 5 grid – you win by forming 3 or more signs horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
Signs on the reels gemstones from the various birdheroes as well as gemstones depicting the birdheroes’ faces (known as hero signs). The crown-like sign is the high-value sign giving you 5, 25 or 100 times your stake for 3, 4 or 5 on a payline. The same payouts are available for the wild which performs the usual substituting duties.
When you get a winning combo with any of the 3 birdhero signs, all remaining signs of the same type will transform into wilds helping you form more winning combos. Then you have the Destruction feature which is randomly triggered on a no-win spin – signs of just 1 color remain on the reels with all other signs being destroyed.
Wild Worlds comes with a Free Spins feature – it is played when you get 3 scatters which will give you 8 free spins. With 3 free spins worlds, you need to spin the wheel to check which world you will enter: Ice World, Fire Lands or Dark Forest.
In the feature, there are both heroes and monsters present with heroes attacking the monsters. Any wins during the feature will result in damage being dealt to 1 or several monster captains or to 1 or several boss’ weak sports – also, there is Hero Meter which you are charging to damage the beasts.
To give you the various extras within each world, the birdheroes need to destroy any of the captains or any of the Boss’ weak spots – the respective feature is awarded on the next Avalanche. Blue wins are for Ice World, red wins are for Fire Lands and green wins are for Dark Forest. Finally, if you destroy the Boss, you will win another 8 free spins. Here’s what to expect from each world:
- Ice World (Heavy Wilds): a stack of 2 heavy wilds will be placed randomly on the reels. If part of a winning combo, they will complete it and then destroyed.
- Dark Forest (Spreading Wilds): a spreading wild is randomly added to the reels – if part of a win, it explodes along with other signs with new spreading wilds generated on adjacent positions. Each spreading wild can give you up to 2 spreading wilds.
- Fire Lands (Random Wilds): between 2 and 4 random wilds are added randomly to the reels. If the wilds are part of a win, they will explode along with nearby signs. Signs that land, where the random wilds were, will become wild. Random wilds also remain on the reels if they are not part of a win.
Wild Worlds sounds a little bit complicated but you’ll soon get the hang of it – I recommend you try for free above and you’ll see what we mean. Basically, you benefit from transforming winning signs into wilds and all signs bar 1 color being destroyed randomly in the base game.
It’s all about the Free Spins feature where you’ll enter 1 of 3 free spins worlds each offering differing extras like random wilds, spreading wilds and 2-stack heavy wilds. To get these extras, the birdheroes need to defeat the beasts. Saying that Wild World is a low to medium variance game with top wins of 200 times your stake on each spin/Avalanche.
